The Rider On The White Horse

And I saw, and behold, a white horse; and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering and to conquer.” (Rev. 6:2)

We can be certain as world troubles are growing at the present phenomenal rate, that millions are now looking for someone, anyone, who will offer solutions to the confused nations that have long ago thrown off belief in the God of the Bible .

The rider on the white horse in Revelation 6:1-2 is the first of four who are often referred to as the “four horsemen of the Apocalypse.” (Revelation 6:1-8)

We should notice that he appears as the classic picture of a hero. Things will begin well. He brings peace especially to the Middle East by establishing a “covenant” between the enemies of the Jews and Israel itself. Do not overlook the picture of this heroic horsemen having a “bow,” but no arrow is mentioned to show that his power is first promoted as that of a great diplomat. But, we should be stunned to see that a “crown” is given to him; and this is virtually limitless global power.

The great global economic and technological disaster, that is, for the “first world” nations in particular, of the Rapture, will leave billions of people perplexed and terrified. This new world dictator will appear almost out of nowhere with a recently and quickly gathered confederation of 10 world powers to back him. (Daniel 7; Revelation 13)

Following his dramatic introduction onto a global platform with Israel as center stage, will ensue the darkest days on earth (Matthew 24). For three and one half years this dominant and seemingly benevolent “savior,” the Antichrist, who will be a counterfeit Christ, will cry “peace and safety,” but sudden war, famine, disease and death will follow. (See Daniel 9:27; 1 Thessalonians 5, and 2 Thessalonians 2; Revelation 13)

The Bible prophecies are more current than even the latest news of today. And all is surely shaping up for the Rapture of the church and the appearance of the coming Antichrist. We do not know when, but we do know that Jesus could come for us at any time.

Be ready…
