Are Gog and Magog on the Move?

Russian war planes are flying over Syria bombing the ISIS cult into oblivion! Reports are that they are also bombing rebel sites as well, but we must remember that these so-called harmless rebels also became members of ISIS.  Obama was running guns out of Libya to them, which is why our people were attacked at Benghazi. Iran, a friend of Russia, as well as to our president, is working behind the scenes, I believe, keeping President Obama from doing too much to ISIS in Iraq because Iran desires this cruel Sunni cult to destabilize Iraq to help Shiite Iran to take it over soon.  Iran’s Shiite leadership is still looking for their 12th Imam, and a final world war to bring in their ideal caliphate. Shiites are competing with Sunni Islam for world domination.  Neither one believes the other is true Islam.   Look for Russia and Iran to move into Iraq as well as Syria to take over land and oil fields which they are taking from the hands of ISIS. The recent attack on Paris has finally awakened France that they need to get into the fight against Islamic terrorism.  France and all of Europe are seeing what decades of God denying Socialist liberalism is getting for them, Islamic rebellion and potential revolution.  They seem to be getting the point, but President Obama is not!  Will Obama succeed in allowing tens of thousands of Syrian refugees into the United States and in that way open America to more Islamic terrorism which might come out from among them?   I wonder which side President Obama is really on!  The dangers are mounting, and prophecy is being fulfilled by the day. I believe that unseen, but very active and intelligent demonic powers are orchestrating these events. They all signal the soon coming of Jesus Christ.

Hillary and Bengasi: The Deception Continues!

The Scriptures are filled with hundreds of prophecies which concern the return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the restoration of Israel. From these prophecies we know that anti-Israel forces will rise up in the latter days to hinder and seek to destroy the Nation of Israel. At His second coming, Israel will be Jesus’ capital from which He will rule the earth. Therefore, a large part of Satan’s futile plan is to somehow prevent the return of the Lord to the earth by destroying Israel and setting up his own global kingdom after all the Jews have been destroyed. But, this is a plan that will never be realized!

At Thursday’s all day Senate hearing on Benghazi, Hillary Clinton (pictured at right) continued to obfuscate on the issues surrounding the Benghazi Islamic terrorist attack and the extent of her responsibility. Much is still hidden about this awful incident where Islamic terrorists, in a pre-planned attack, destroyed the consulate at Benghazi and murdered, along with three others, our Ambassador, Chris Stevens. I have written in previous editions of this newsletter that this attack likely arose because the United States was probably involved in transferring weapons from Libya to Syria. This was to help the Syrian Sunni rebels in their fight against Shiite, Iranian, and Russian backed President Bashar al-Assad.Ambassador Stevens was likely in Benghazi to facilitate this process.

Naturally, President Obama and then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wanted to distance themselves from this covert reality. Thus the lie about a video causing the attack. Many believe the purpose of this deliberate deception was to help ensure Obama’s re-election, by helping to continue the pre-election narrative that Obama had al-Qaeda on the run, but this was only a small part of the story! They had to cover up the reality of this secret weapons transfer, because it was illegal. Even more, I believe the willful neglect to secure the consulate, in spite of some 600 requests for increased security, was possibly to allow an attack to take place to counter and cancel the weapons transfer activity. I do not believe Hillary Clinton intended nor desired for anyone to lose their lives that fateful night at Benghazi. However, the attack went too far, and Ambassador Stevens, and three other innocent men were killed. What came out yesterday adds support to this analysis, or at least, to reveal the likelihood of a cover up that is wider, and more sinister than even the Republican prosecutors may realize. This cover up might have underlying anti-Semitic and anti-Israel motivations. Further, some believe the mislabeling and subsequent cover up of the Benghazi Islamic terror attack, actually over time, influenced the rise of ISIS in Syria.

In actual fact, if we helped to oust Syrian President Assad, then this would work against Iran’s interests in that country. Remember that the Mr. Obama was seeking a deal with Iran over the last few years. Helping to get weapons to Assad’s enemies from Libya would not please Iran, nor, for that matter, Russia. Getting the weapons to the Syrian rebels from Libya would, however, please a certain segment in America who support Obama and who support Assad’s overthrow. To allow the weapons flow to be stopped by an attack, covered up as a mere protest because of a video in the United States, is a perfect arrangement for a President who wants to be re-elected; who wants to look like he is trying to help the poor rebels in Syria, but who does not want to hinder nor insult the Iranians who are trying to secure a stronghold in Syria with the Russians for a likely future attack on Israel. President Obama and his administration, along with the United Nations, have been working against Israel in every possible way. Is the Benghazi incident and cover up connected to a master plan for Israel’s destruction? Are they actually facilitating a further aligning of Communism, through Russia, along with Islam, especially Shiite-Islam, for a future assault on Israel?

Our present and obvious likelihood today is that Russia, Iran, and Syrian President Assad are seeking to strengthen their position in Syria, which is just north of Israel, as part of a master plan to eventually attack Israel. (Ezekiel 38) I believe the Benghazi incident and cover-up are like pieces that Satan is moving on a chess board of world events to line up nations for a future attack on Israel. The ongoing battle to get to the truth of what happened in Benghazi is a small but important skirmish that is serving to distract the world from the master plan of Satan, which is the complete subjugation of Israel and its eventual annihilation.  This is why Bible prophecy is so important to understand what God is doing.

But for those who reject or belittle Bible prophecy, they will not clearly discern God’s activity. They will tend to substitute their own understanding and teaching for that of the Holy Spirit. Daniel was told concerning the latter days: “but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand” (Daniel 12:10b).

God Calls The Nations to Praise Him

“O praise the Lord all ye nations; praise Him, all ye people. For His merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise ye the Lord.” (Psalm 117)

This is the shortest of the Psalms.  Sometimes the most important things that God says, He says in few words.  This brief Psalm is addressed to all the nations of the earth.  God is interested in all nations knowing Him as the one true God of the earth.  Taken in its simplest form, the main message here is that the God of the Bible, The God of Israel and of the Church, and to the complete exclusion of all other so called “gods” of other religions and nations, is the only God that exists.  This reality is stated here in the simplest and most categorical form: All the nations, and peoples of the earth are to worship the only God there is:  The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; that is, the God of Israel Who is the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

This Psalm shows us, again, how the God of Israel, the God of all the earth desires and invites all nations to know Him and to praise Him.  This is a clear indication that the idea of a nation being a “Christian,” or “Jewish” nation is very Biblical.  Now, most of the nations of the earth do not belong to the Lord.

Since the scattering of the people at the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11), mankind has been running away from God, and their minds, for the most part have been blinded by Satan (2 Corinthians 4:4).  Satan is still blinding the minds of the people of the nations today by his many lies.  Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Religious Christianity that adds works and rituals to the Gospel, Judaism that rejects Jesus Christ as the Messiah, Mormonism and the Jehovah’s Witnesses cults, Occultism, Satanism, Wicca, Atheism, Communism, Humanism and many, many more false and unbiblical religious movements and beliefs have all served to draw the nations away from God.  Thus the confusion of Babel continues today.

Another movement that draws many thousands away from the Bible and from the one true God is the emerging church. The misguided leaders of this man made trend have largely bought into the lies of postmodernism. Postmodernism teaches that truth is not a “destination,”  but a “journey.” As applied to spiritual truth, postmodernism makes biblical and absolute truth unnecessary and even a hindrance to a successful spiritual and social life.  Because of the postmodern approach of the emerging church, many strange people have become both the spiritual and political leaders of America.  Consequently, America, following the same pattern as Europe, has in recent years, moved farther away from God than ever.  Many of the emerging church leaders are proud of their efforts and results.  The Supreme Court’s decision for “gay marriage” was applauded by many so called “spiritual leaders,” many of whom count themselves as promoters of the emerging church postmodern mentality.

These false teachers celebrate “marriage equality,” as many of them like to call it.  And some even applaud the public display of “gay pride,” and would have every young man in America questioning his gender identity if they could.  Many in this movement are working right along with some emerging church leaders to accomplish this goal.

Yet, here, in Psalm 117, we see that God still calls out to the nations to “praise the Lord.”  The Psalmist, directed by the Holy Spirit, made a definite prophetic declaration as to God’s unchangeable truth.  This Psalm, as well as the entire inerrant Bible views truth as propositional, absolute and knowable. This declaration even goes out to our postmodern, morally and spiritually confused and cowardly age, stating in absolute terms:  “the truth of the Lord endureth forever.”

Yet, today, we are told to celebrate the idea that America is no longer a “Christian” nation.  One popular emergent preacher actually stated that we would not want to go back to being a Christian nation.  I believe that those who are willing to surrender God’s truth to those who are the enemies of God’s truth probably never believed God’s truth in the first place!

Paul prophetically declared that these type of religious leaders would appear in the “latter days.”  He said that we might identify them as “Traitors, that is, to biblical truth and to the Lord Himself, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God.  Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof.”  Paul commanded us:  “from such turn away” (2 Timothy 3:4-5).  Really!!  Paul did not say: “Join with them,” or, “tolerate them in your denomination,” but, “from such turn away.” 

Generally, nations are influenced to turn away from God, not by political leaders, but by the religious leaders who offer up their “priestly blessing” for those who will fill those government offices and courts.  President Obama’s promise to “transform” America had plenty of encouragement from the “religious” leaders to do so.  Today, we see that the Obama campaign slogan, “transform America” was actually code for “turn America away from the God of the Bible to the god of Islam, or Atheism.”

But each Christian, who has had a genuine born-again experience with Jesus Christ and who still believes in the Bible as God’s infallible Word, must decide if he or she will stand strong for truth in the days ahead as we watch for the Lord’s coming and the rapture of the church.

We must not overlook the reality that there are many pastors who are preaching truth to their people.  Some are enduring the browbeating of some of the members of their churches or denominations, pressuring them to conform their theology and methodology to any or a combination of all of the current and crowd attracting trends of our day. These are popular trends such as the Calvinistic-Charismatic, Contemplative-Mystical, Seeker-Friendly, Purpose Driven and, or Emergent-postmodern movements.  Much prayer is called for for such preachers as those who are standing firm against these trends and faithfully preaching dynamic expository sermons from God’s Word.  Generally, they are pastoring smaller, struggling churches where the temptation to compromise and jump onto the emerging church bandwagon is strong.  These pastors and congregations are on the “front lines,” of the great battle against the mighty current of latter day apostasy.

Even though the hour is late, the time is more right than ever to make known the wonderful salvation that is available to all through faith in Jesus Christ.  No matter how many influential religious leaders ignore the teaching of prophecy, the doctrine of the return of Jesus Christ is still true!  While many are mocking the teaching of His coming, even from the pulpits of churches of America, this nation is still founded upon the abiding principles of Scripture.  America was founded as a Christian nation by being based upon Judeo-Christian principles of government.  We have been led away from these principles, but we should and can return, as a nation to God and to our founding biblical precepts.  I believe God actually raised up America largely to shelter the Jews and to help establish and defend the nation of Israel in these latter days.

There is still a remnant in our land that are calling upon God’s name and who will humble themselves and pray for this land, as well as to turn from their evil ways.  I believe America has survived this long because of this praying remnant (See 2 Chronicles 7:14).  These type of spiritual warriors will not so easily surrender God’s call for America to be and remain a nation that He can bless and use to protect His nation of Israel, as well as to encourage gospel proclamation around the world.  America and, any nation, can be a land that will “praise the Lord,” by turning away from wickedness and false religion, to the Lord and a protector of God’s nation or Israel.  Any nation that is anti-Semitic will not do this.  This fact is implied in this brief 117th Psalm taken in context with Genesis 12:1-3.  The turning to God by the nations will fully happen when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to the earth to rule the nations from Jerusalem.  (Zechariah 14:16-21,  Revelation 19:11-16)  Today, turn to the Lord Jesus Christ, pray for America!  Perhaps this nation will one day, “praise the Lord!”

THE RAPTURE AND THE TIMING OF RUSSIA’S ATTACK

It will be important to read my last article on Ezekiel 38 and 39 and how Israel’s discovery of a vast oil field in the Golan Heights possibly relates to Russia and Iran’s attack on Israel for its wealth.

Now lets look at the possible timing of this attack.  Ezekiel 38-39 specifically indicates that God will intervene to destroy the attacking forces of the latter days Russian-Iran alliance. They do not have any chance of succeeding in their plans to destroy the Jewish state.

Daniel 9 predicts that the future  Antichrist will make a seven year covenant with Israel.  This will certainly serve to entice the Jewish nation to submit to his leadership. An additional inducement for their yielding their nation’s security to the government of the Antichrist, whom they will certainly view as being their messiah, will be his cleverly appearing, through deception to be a man of great intelligence and power.

The rapture of the church will bring the world into a time of great confusion as millions disappear from the earth.

The Antichrist will be free to manifest himself after the church is gone as the Holy Spirit will no longer be present to hinder his showing himself.  He is probably alive now and very likely prepared to be revealed after the rapture. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-6)

He will have a ready answer as to the reason for the sudden disappearance of so many valued and essential people. Perhaps he will claim UFOs took the Christians because they were a danger to the New World Order.

He will perhaps gain much credibility after Russia’s attack on Israel, along with the Islamic nations that will be allied  with Russia.  

When God destroys Israel’s attackers, the Antichrist will likely claim credit.  He will be a great lier.  He will be very convincing.  So, if the battle of Gog and Magog takes place just after the rapture, and just before the beginning of the tribulation, then the Antichrist will no doubt take advantage of this for the advancement of his deceptive cause, which will be global government.

How important it is for people today to trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.  He died on the cross for the sins of the entire world, and rose again.  He is coming back!  The Bible says that Jesus is the Word, “and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.” (Read John 1:1-12)  There is no other Savior.  There will come one called the Antichrist who will claim to be the final Imam, or Messiah,  but Jesus, is the only Son of God.  Trust in Him for your sins to be forgiven and to know His true peace which is eternal life.  

Don’t wait, He may return at any moment to rapture His believers to heaven.  Are you one of them? (See John 14:1-7)

ISRAEL DISCOVERS HUGE OIL FIELD

Recently, the discovery of an immense oil field in the Golan Heights in Israel, along with strategic moves by Russian President Putin into Syria have brought many prophecy students to believe this could be the beginning of the preparations for the battle of Gog and Magog. 
 
 Interestingly, God seems to be allowing the gathering of all the elements of what He foretold in Ezekiel 38 and 39. In these chapters, there is an amazing description of the details of Russia’s invasion of the nation of Israel in the latter days.  Read the first four verses of Ezekiel 38. You will see that Rosh, which is an early form of the word Russia is used twice in verses 2 and 3 in the NASB translation.  

“And the word of the LORD came to me saying, “Son of man, set your face toward Gog of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am against you, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal. “I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army…” (Ezekiel 38:1-4a, NASB)

As you can see, God is planning to influence Russia to prepare an attack. This attack will include allies from among the present day Islamic nations it will be a all out assault on Israel. The passage continues:

“Persia, Ethiopia and Put with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer with all its troops; Beth-togarmah from the remote parts of the north with all its troops—many peoples with you.” (Ezekiel 38:5-6, NASB)

H.L. Willmington lists the nations under their current names that are identified here as among Russia’s allies:
    (1) Persia – Modern Iran
    (2) Ethiopia – South Africa
    (3) Libia – Arabic African
        nations (North Africa)
    (4) Gomer – East Germany
    (5) Togarmah – Southern 
        Russia and the Cossacks,
        or perhaps Turkey.
      
This passage, among many other details, clearly delineates how this prophecy of Russia’s attack on Israel must occur in the “latter days,” after Isreal has been restored as a nation. In 1948, Israel was once again restored as a nation, and Jews have been returning to that land since then. The Bible describes the latter days as those days surrounding the rapture of the church, the great even year tribulation and the second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth:

      “Be prepared, and prepare yourself, you and all your companies that are assembled about you, and be a guard for them. “After many days you will be summoned; IN THE LATTER YEARS you will come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been GATHERED FROM MANY NATIONS to the mountains of Israel which had been a continual waste; but its PEOPLE WERE BROUGH OUT FROM THE NATIONS and they are living securely, all of them. “You will go up, you will come like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land, you and all your troops, and many peoples with you.” (Ezekiel 38:7-9, NASB)

Russia is now planning with Iran to dominate Syria, but their plan, I’m am sure, does not end there. Russia, or “Rosh,” in the literal rendering of Ezekiel 38:3 has a master plan that will ultimately include attacking Israel for “spoil” (38:13, remove the s and the word spells “oil.”) Israel has many areas of wealth: agriculture, military weaponry, strategic location as well as being an intersection to the East, South, and western European nations, as well as highly desirable ports, technology, and perhaps most of all, Israel has people who can be enslaved and used for the greater cause of Russia and her allies.  The Islamic allies of Russia like Iran and Syria and others all want the destruction of the Jews, but the Koran also calls for their enslavement. Ezekiel 38:13 speaks of weak nations (like America under Obama) simply asking Russia diplomatically what they are doing but not lifting a finger to step in in behalf of Israel.  The battle of Gog and Magog, that is of Russia attacking Israel, is in the preparation stage now, and it could occur either before or after the rapture. I believe it will certainly happen before the beginning of the tribulation or at the start of it to “gut” Islam and the power of Russia, in order for the Antichrist to have the freedom to establish a peace treaty with Israel for seven years and to permit them to rebuild their temple. This temple he will desecrate at the midpoint if the tribulation and demand worship. Then he will seek to destroy Israel etc.
 
Therefore, Israel’s discovery of Oil is always an indication of God’s favor for Israel. Yet, also this is part of the Divine lure (“hooks,” Ezekiel 38:4) to draw Russia and her allies to attack so God can destroy them; and for the church, which ignores prophecy and the coming of the Lord in it’s preaching, to take notice that the return of the Lord draws nearer every day!

Now Is The Time

Now is the time to explore the riches of the treasures of the Lord in His Word.  As the days seem to grow darker we have the more sure word of prophecy to encourage us.  The Lord delights in revealing the future to us.  He does not do this to satisfy our selfish curiosity, but so that we might be more expectant toward Him in our daily walk.  

Your faith is the basis that God has given you to please Him. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God (through prayer) must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIm.” (Hebrews 11:6)

When you pray, it must be in the name of Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ was the greatest gift the Father could have given for you when He died on the cross for your sins, then rose again from the dead.  

Prayerlessness is a great sin against God. There is no other way for God to hear you in prayer in these latter days than in that Name that is above all names: Jesus Christ. 

We are living in a time that is just prior to the coming of the Lord to rapture His church to heaven. You and I have a great opportunity to make Jesus Christ known to many millions that are lost and in the grip of religions that do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God, or that deny that salvation is by faith alone, not in sacraments and rituals of church or religion.  

“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.  For you have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God (by receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior, by faith), ye might receive the promise (eternal life, and to be able to go up with the Lord at the rapture). For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry (The Lord will not delay).  Now the just shall live by faith, but if any man draw back (by not fully renouncing their sin and false religion) my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (Hebrews 10:33-38)

Genuine Marriage Still Between One Man And One Woman!

Once again, America has shown his utter rejection of God, and this time through the United States Supreme Court!  When Jesus stated in Matthew that marriage was between a man and a woman, and that man was not to interfere with that divinely instituted arrangement, it was also a warning to us today: “For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh…What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (See Matthew 19:4-6)  Jesus here authoritatively speaks of the inviolability of God’s design and arrangement for marriage.  Jesus also here gives the clear definition of God’s marriage design and arrangement. This design and arrangement for marriage is what the Supreme Court presumed to redefine.  The consequences of this redefinition of marriage are and will be devastating for America!

As an additional mockery of God, the White House was lighted up with “gay pride” rainbow colors upon the delivery of this ruling yesterday.  They were certainly prepared. The lights, to me, looked like reflections of the flames of hell.  There is no doubt that we are given over as a nation to Satan’s authority.  Those who believed Obama’s lies that he was opposed to same-sex marriage helped to put him in there, yet they refuse to hold him to account for his deceptions.

Even though the Supreme court has presumptuously set aside the Bible, as well as any pretense of wisdom, to conform to the vile spirit of our age, God will not be mocked! (Galatians 6:7) The Lord of all flesh, has determined to give over to a reprobate mind (insanity) those who willfully violate God’s design for marriage and human sexuality.  These are the consequences Jesus warned about in Matthew 19:6.

Judgment has come upon America!  But it is only the beginning! (See Psalm 2) This ruling by the high court is an abominable affront to the holiness of God.   At this time, we are seeing God giving America over to its own lustful and ungodly desires.  We are more than a little vulnerable to our Islamic enemies.  Do not be surprised if there is a major and devastating attack in the coming days!  God has warned us, but we have and are ignoring Him.

President Obama and the radical left have long supported the homosexual perversion of human relationships and is seeking to further marginalize Christians in America for their active and determined opposition to this demonic strike against the sanctity of the family.  Further, the typical preacher in America is not committed to preaching the hard truths of what is happening today.  The only thing that will wake them up is the rapid departure of thousands from their churches!  This is because they fear man more than God!  America is sowing the wind, and it will reap the whirlwind of judgment. (Hosea 8:7) The Apostle Paul warned: Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. (Romans 1:24-27, NASB)

God will also set aside man’s false rule and establish His own glorious rule through the return of the Prophet Priest and King, the Lord Jesus Christ.  Meanwhile, I and every Christian who desires to stay true to the Lord will continue to stand upon the truths of God’s Word!  The Living God is upon the throne of the universe and the U.S. Supreme Court is not!  Therefore I will continue to obey the Lord!  I will pray for real revival in America and in the American church, and continue loving and praying for the sinner that he or she will come to know the genuine love of the Lord and surrender to His design for new life, biblical marriage and relationships.  Man has spoken,  and man has greatly erred, but: “let God be true, but every man a liar!  (Romans 3:4)…Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”(Acts 5:29)

Hatred for Jesus Christ Is Growing In America; No Surprize!

God is still raising up a few who will stand for truth in these latter days of world history!  One of these is Maj. Gen. Craig Olson, a two-star Air Force general who spoke clearly and boldly about His relationship with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at a National Day of Prayer Task Force speech on May 7.  But it didn’t take long for the spirit of stark unbelief to show itself in all its demonic fury through the leftist-humanist Military Religious Freedom Foundation.  They reacted to the biblical truth, as articulated by the General,  that Jesus is Lord and that God is sovereign over America.  They are now demanding that this Christian Patriot and be court-martialed.

According to an article by World News Daily:

Despite the religious nature of the event, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation has called for Olson to be “aggressively and very visibly brought to justice for his unforgivable crimes and transgressions,” adding that any other service members who helped him should be investigated and punished “to the full extent of military law.”

The organization sent a letter to Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Walsh, arguing that Olson’s speech violates rules within the Air Force, which prohibits airmen from endorsing a particular faith or belief.  The letter states: “This demand letter is sent to you on behalf of countless members of the United States Air Force who are utterly disgusted and shocked by the brazenly illicit and wholly unconstitutional, fundamentalist Christian proselytizing recently perpetrated, on international television (‘GOD TV’), and streaming all over the Internet and in full military uniform, by USAF Major General Craig S. Olson on Thursday, May 7, 2015 during a VERY public speech for a private Christian organization (The ‘National Day of Prayer Task Force’: NDPTF) headed up by Focus on the Family founder, Dr. James Dobson’s, wife Shirley Dobson.”

If we are indeed living in the latter days, and I believe we are, then we should not be surprised at the ferociousness with which the Devil is attacking such a committed and faithful Christian as General Olson.  You and I need to be constantly aware and prayerful concerning the coming of persecution that is predicted to arise against believers in the last days.  I believe that this persecution is gaining strength today as an indication that the rapture of the church is near (see 2 Timothy 4:1-8).

As Christians today, we need to know what we believe and be ready to state our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ with clarity and conviction, because Satan is pulling no punches to shut us up.  Peter writes along these lines: “Casting all you care upon him; for He careth for you.  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world” (1 Peter 5:7-9)

We should pray that God will give General Olson continued courage to stand for the Lord in the presence of such aggressive attacks on his freedom to express his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We should also pray for the members of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, that they would read God’s Word for themselves with a truly open mind. Then, maybe their organization would become a genuine defender of American freedom, and, additionally,  make Jesus Christ known to a lost world.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s Speech to Congress, What’s Obama Afraid of?

I am anticipating an insightful and bold speech from the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu tomorrow when he appears before the U.S. Congress.  Much is at stake for Israel these days, and for America!  The prophetic scenario revealed by the Bible for these latter days is rapidly unfolding.    The Scripture tells us of nations in the latter days which will be fully capable of taking bold stands, and to whom other nations might look for leadership, stepping back from leadership while Israel’s very existence is threatened. (Ezekiel 38:13)  The frustration of King David, who experienced similar betrayals from leaders of other nations in Israel’s times of need, is expressed in Psalm 5:8-9,

Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.  For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

Of course, leaders who turn against Israel,  will do so because they have rebelled against the Lord and have sided with the enemies of God’s people.  Jesus, the Son of God, said: “Ye shall know them by their fruit” (Matthew 7:16)  Could this explain why President Obama will not name Isis as Islamic Terrorists and why he is soft on Iran?   With the threats of wars and rumors of wars that we are seeing, the world is looking for a real leader these days.  Tomorrow the world will see and hear a real leader for our times,  his name is Benjamin Netanyahu.   Perhaps this is what President Obama is afraid of.  (Proverbs 28:1)
